System separation
AyurDoc and OpenEMR (or other EHR) are separate systems with a hard data boundary. OpenEMR is the PHI system of record.
Link, don't copy
AyurDoc stores external patient identifiers only. Demographics, insurance, medications, and chart data from EHR are not copied into AyurDoc.
Patient display
Lists and visit screens show the patient name. The patient sheet also shows the ID number. Chart remains the record for demographics, insurance, and the conventional chart.
Audit logging
Audit logs record action metadata only. No clinical snapshots or PHI payloads.
